Newsflash

Shriners are distinguished by an enjoyment of life in the interest of philanthropy. With almost 500,000 members the organization has a buoyant philosophy which has been expressed as "Pleasure without intemperance, hospitality without rudeness and jollity without coarseness."

Our Unit - The Original Tin Lizzie Patrol

Ray Radliff

The Original Tin Lizzie Patrol has the distinction of being called "Original" because they were the first Tin Lizzie Patrol created. Members own and maintain their cars but you do not have to own a car to be a member of the unit. There is always a need for members without cars to drive to give car owners a break from the many parades they attend each year. The Tin Lizzies also participate at the annual Shrine Circus selling popcorn and are at other events such as fairs directing traffic.

So remember when you see a shriner driving a little black car in a parade, he does more than just jump in a car and drive around. These guys have invested their own money in the cars and are some of the hardest working shriners we have taking time to particiapate in parades and other events. We commend our unit for all the hard work they do!

Members In Other Ainad Shriner Units

The Ainad Shriners Krazy Klowns Unit

We also have members belonging to other Ainad Shriners Units. A great example of this is Old National Trail Noble Bill Beard as "Windy Willie" in the Ainad Krazy Klowns Unit. That's him on the bottom left with the yellow circle around him. He has been a Krazy Klown for many years bringing joy to the kids at parades, circuses and the Shriners Hospitals For Children in St. Louis.

We commend Bill for his very active participation in the Krazy Klowns!
