Driving Directions To Old National Trail Shrine Club
On the map above, the marker with the letter B on it is where Old National Trail Shrine Club is located. It is a bit out of the way on Vandalia Lake, so follow the directions below.
- From any direction you come to Vandalia, follow the signs to Highway 185 North. You will take Highway 185 approximately 5 miles to an electric substation on the left which is Shafter. There is a small sign saying Shrine Club on the right. Turn right at the sign (County Road 350 N) and follow this road about 3 miles and on the left side of the road will be another Shrine Club sign. Turn right there (County Road 2000 E) and follow the road to the end of it.

On the map above, the marker with the letter A on it is where Temperance Lodge No.16 is located. We are located on the west side of downtown Vandalia on the corner of West Johnson and South Sixth Streets. - Traveling west on I-70 - Take Exit 63 to Vandalia and turn left onto Highway 40/51 South (Kennedy Blvd). Stay on this road going through two sets of stop lights. At the third stop light, the Old State Capitol will be on the right. Turn right onto Gallatin Street which will take you through downtown Vandalia. You will go through the first stop sign (First National Bank on the left) and turn left at the next block onto Sixth Street. Go one block to Johnson Street and Temperance Lodge will be to the right on the south west corner of Sixth and Johnson Streets.
- Traveling east on I-70 - Take Exit 62 to Vandalia and turn right onto Randolph Street. Stay on this road going by the Holiday Inn Express and Wal-Mart which are on the right. Randolph Street will take you to the north side of downtown Vandalia and when you get to Sixth Street, turn right onto it. Take this street over the railroad tracks to the stop sign and go straight through. A block down will be Johnson Street and Temperance Lodge will be to the right on the south west corner of Sixth and Johnson Streets.
- Traveling south on Highway 51 - Take Highway 51 South (Kennedy Blvd) going through two stop lights to downtown Vandalia. At the third stop light, the Old State Capitol will be on the right. Turn right onto Gallatin Street which will take you through downtown Vandalia. - Traveling north on Highway 51 - Take Highway 51 North to the first stop light. Go straight onto Gallatin Street which will take you through downtown Vandalia. You will go through the first stop sign (First National Bank on the left) and turn left at the next block onto Sixth Street. Go one block to Johnson Street and Temperance Lodge will be to the right on the south west corner of Sixth and Johnson Streets.
